BRUNELLO CROSSING
is an event created by a group of sports enthusiasts and lovers of the territory of Montalcino, who have come together and have developed an idea that goes much further than a competitive race of 44 km, 23 km and 13 km. in fact, also a 13 km non-competitive walk, a guided tour of the cellars and an opportunity to try food products from local fileria. With these will be prepared the buffet of athletes on Saturday and Sunday and set up the various refreshments along the competitive and non-competitive routes to emphasize the excellent combination of sport, territory, food and wine ... all of course of quality.
The scenario is that of the Parco della Val d'Orcia and since July 2004 it has been a UNESCO heritage site and the Ombrone Valley where the homonymous rivers flow. It lends itself perfectly to trail routes; differences in height and inclination between its highest point, 680 m.s.l.m and its lowest point 120 m.s.l.m. paths through woods, of which 50% of the territory is covered, vineyards and the famous Sienese hills, furrowed by numerous paths, mule tracks, carrarecce and historic streets such as the Francigena and the Maremmana.
So we can only invite you on February 10, 2019 to participate in our competitive race or non-competitive walk and on February 9 to the guided tour of the Brunello di Montalcino wineries.
